Extended Legacy Tiered Support (eLTS) FAQ

What is eLTS?

The eLTS Support offer is applicable for all customers on legacy non-maintained Releases of Unit4 products. We strongly advise all customers to move to the Unit4 Cloud, starting with a Cloud Migration Assessment, and the eLTS is a way to ensure support during your Cloud journey. For next steps, please reach out to your Account Manager to discuss, or reach out to us via the below contact form.

Why is this relevant to me?

All customers on unmaintained releases
without an eLTS agreement will be automatically moved to End of Life Support. This allows customers to solely access self-help recourses and NO-SLA Support for the same maintenance costs. The NO-SLA tickets cannot be escalated.

What being on an unmaintained version means?

If your organization is still using outdated releases, then you may encounter various disadvantages and restrictions. it may prove very challenging and, or not possible, to fix technical and interoperability issues that arise. Software deficiency may arise as technologies get deprecated. As fixes and critical patch updates cease, the software might become vulnerable to security and privacy issues. The software will not be able to comply with new tax, legal, and regulatory updates.

What am I entitled to with eLTS?

The eLTS agreement ensures that you keep the benefits of your existing support terms on your unmaintained version. This includes standard first response SLAs, resolution SLAs, as well as the ability to escalate your Incidents. The eLTS agreement is valid for a period of 12 months only, and doesn't automatically renew. Even with eLTS no bug fix will be produced for unmaintained versions, hence the necessity to upgrade to a maintained version as soon as possible.

What are the options?
