While the pandemic has put this problem into stark relief, the reality is the industry was under threat long before from changing public sentiment about the value of Higher Education and looming demographic changes.

Now there’s nothing you can do about fluctuating demographics but changing expectations, that’s another story.

Right now, there is an opportunity for institutions to diversify offerings and expand target audiences. But only if institutions evolve and transform enough to see the opportunities and become flexible enough to make the pivots. People will always need education – the only real question is will your institution be able to offer it the way they want it?
